Submit Your Volunteer Hours

Many hours have been worked by curling club members and a very big thank for this.

Please take a few minutes to submit the volunteer hours you have worked so far this season.

That way, we have statistics moving forward to use when trying to obtain grants or to determine the amount of effort required for certain events.

You may either complete a paper form and deposit it in the volunteer box at the club, or email the information to ACC.VOLUNTEERHOURS@GMAIL.COM

If you have any questions, please contact Carol Theriault through email, or by calling 613-623-7272.

Bookings Director - Volunteer to Share the Role

The current of Bookings Director is looking for an individual to share the position. This is a great opportunity to volunteer and help the Curling Club as well as gain volunteer hours. The role is primarily keeping the Calendar up to date and assisting on the ACC Bookings.

Sunday Drop In Curling

Sunday Drop-in Curling with Ray Kulchyski: This is a perfect venue for non-members to try out their curling legs or members to hone their skills.

Youth curling will commence November 7, 2017.

Please note that beginning in 2017 helmets are required for all youths. Curling is played on ice and there is always a risk of falling. There is no official “curling helmet” but use of a hockey, skiing, snow boarding or biking helmet will suffice. All other equipment will be provided! --->

The Board of Directors have been actively putting the pieces together for a successful and enjoyable season and we have made some significant investments in our club which we hope meets everyone’s satisfaction.

2017, The year to Curl @ ACC

2017/09/14-Chronicle-Guide-This is the year to curl at ACC (PDF) https://issuu.com/arnpriorchronicleguide/docs/arnprior091417 (Page: 25)

This little-known piece (ACC) of Arnprior's heritage began in January of 1868 when the newly incorporated ACC opened its first covered sheet of ice on Victoria Street (formerly the site of the River of Life Church).

Artificial ice was installed in the early 1950's. In 1969, in celebration of its centenary, the ACC opened the current four-sheet rink on Galvin Street.

Volunteering is the lifeblood of this club. Many individuals contribute hours far beyond our minimum discount requirements, without whose efforts we simply could not operate the facility. We try to organize our needs to minimize wasted time and as always, many hands make light work.

A huge gratitude of thanks go out to all our volunteering members.
